No doubt, people come to Sun Valley for the skiing, but the reason people stay (and often never leave) is the summer. The sun is warm. The air is cool. The days are long. Heather LaMonica Deckard, Glenn Janss and Ivan Swaner take us through the history behind Wagon Days during the 50th Anniversary of the event and parade. For this Wagon Days celebration, all past Grand Marshals were invited and honored, with Valley icon Glenn Janss serving as the Grand Marshal of this golden anniversary. Ms. Janss describes the selection as the greatest honor she has achieved and one that recognizes an individuals commitment and dedication to the community.

Ketchum town historian Ivan Swaner explains the rich history of Ore Wagons, the original owners, and the Wagon Days Parade. The Ore Wagons featured here are the last remaining freight wagons in America and once served as the life line to the country camps as well as the means of transportation for the Valley.
