In this episode of Beyond the Boardroom, Jon talks to Susan Lyne, CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Susan tells Jon about her many different careers: her time at Jane Fonda's production company, what drove her to start Premiere magazine, and how much she loved pilot season at ABC. Susan ended her tenure at the network with a string of wildly successful shows including Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. She tells Jon that although she joined Martha Stewart Omnimedia when the company and its founder were facing troubled times, she was drawn by the brand's wide reach and Martha's incredible vision. The two discuss the difference between Martha Stewart the person and Martha Stewart the brand and how technology figures into the equation.
