John Zuccotti, Chairman of Brookfield Properties USA, is known to many as “the man who saved New York.” As Deputy Mayor in the 1970s, he helped rescue the city from financial ruin and went on to lead one of its biggest landlords, Olympia & York, through bankruptcy and restore it to health as Brookfield Properties.
