How would contemporary art collector & Plum TV Arts Correspondent Dennis Scholl describe the art market in the past decade? As Dickens might! "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Dennis discusses the peaks and valleys of the art market over The 00's (The Aughties) and shares his view that the market has rebounded a bit recently, as was witnessed at Art Basel Miami Beach 2009. Dennis also names the three artists who maintain selling power even in these turbulent economic times: Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst & Jeff Koons. Yet, the prevailing rule for the art market in this new economy remains "Quality Sells."
