In the premiere episode of What’s in Store with Mike Albo, we follow stylist writer Mike Albo as he takes us on a shopping tour of the hip Nolita district, the north end of Little Italy in Manhattan. Mike searches the area for all the necessities for a perfect summer wardrobe, from sunglasses, to swimsuits and sandals. Mike checks in at Le Labo Fragrances with co-owner Fabrice Penot, tries on some shades at Selima Optique with designer Selima Saluan, finds some skin care products at Red Flower, picks out some sandals at Rainbow Sandals, and finds a skimpy swimsuit at Parke and Ronen with co-owner Ronen Jehezkel. Finally, Mike talks with t-shirt designer Jim Morrison and local community activist Michele Campo about rising rent costs and change in the Nolita neighborhood. But Mike explains that its rare to find a shopping area with a nice vibe and no superstores, and that "places like Nolita make us feel like we aren't just shopping, but that we're connecting."
