Idaho Hunting Seasons for wolves were set yesterday, August 18, 2009. Take a look back with us to March, when Plum caught footage of a black wolf in Greenhorn.

A lone black wolf jumps a fence into the backyard of a Greenhorn home to interact with three Alaskan Malamutes. This exciting footage was shot last Thursday afternoon in the Greenhorn Subdivision just south of Ketchum.

On March 6, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar affirmed the decision by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to remove the gray wolf from the endangered species list in all states with the exception of Wyoming. It is estimated that there are 1,600 wolves in the U.S. Rockies.

There are a lot more people - maybe they should have open season on them! Why can't people share - and appreciate God's creations including God's creatures.

Their life is so hard - free, but hard. People have selfishly taken all for themselves. I would love to see the people who hunt for fun be the hunted!

  • Interaction

The wolf is attempting to lure the dogs out of their yard, lead them to the rest of the pack so its pack mates can kill and eat them.

  • Return of the wolves

They need to be back where God intended them to be. There needs to be a balance that God intended, not simpletons! I hope there numbers will grow accordingly and that they will forever be apart of our wilderness!
